About the role:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Senior Marketing Specialist supports the planning, coordination, execution, and ongoing optimization of marketing initiatives across HearCANADA’s retail network. This role is highly organized and execution-focused, requiring strong project management skills, attention to detail, digital marketing experience, and the ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously.

Working Model: Onsite, hybrid (minimum 3 days per week onsite)
Compensation: $62,000 - $73,000 per annum based on experience
What you'll do:
The Senior Marketing Specialist helps ensure marketing campaigns, communications, website updates, and promotional materials are delivered accurately, on time, and in alignment with approved marketing strategies, brand standards, and business priorities.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Project and Campaign Management: Coordinate and manage multiple marketing projects and campaigns simultaneously, maintaining project plans, timelines, deliverables, approval processes, and status updates to ensure deadlines and priorities are met.
Marketing Execution and Coordination: Coordinate the development, review, approval, production, and deployment of marketing materials across traditional media, digital channels, direct mail, email, SMS, social media, and local marketing initiatives.
Content Proofreading: Edit, and proofread consumer-facing and internal marketing communications, ensuring accuracy, consistency, readability, and alignment with approved brand messaging.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Retail Operations, Contact Centre, Community-Based Marketing (CBM), and other departments, to gather requirements, coordinate deliverables, communicate timelines, and support successful campaign execution.
Project Tracking and Administration: Maintain marketing calendars, project trackers, campaign documentation, budgets, purchase orders, invoices, creative assets, and other administrative records to support efficient marketing operations.
Vendor and Agency Coordination: Liaise with external agencies, printers, media partners, suppliers, and other vendors to coordinate project requirements, obtain deliverables, manage timelines, and resolve executional issues.
Campaign Quality Assurance: Review marketing materials, website updates, campaign assets, and communications for accuracy, brand consistency, compliance, and adherence to approved offers, terms, and conditions before deployment.
Marketing Systems and Tools: Use marketing platforms, CRM systems, reporting tools, and project management resources to coordinate campaigns, maintain accurate information, monitor deliverables, and support reporting requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve marketing workflows, project coordination, digital content management, documentation, and campaign execution. Stay informed about relevant marketing tools, digital trends, and best practices.
Special Projects: Support and coordinate product launches, promotional events, centre-level initiatives, and other projects as assigned to meet evolving business and marketing priorities.
What we're looking for:
Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
5+ years of progressive marketing experience, preferably in a consumer-facing (B2C), retail, healthcare, or similarly fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple marketing projects, campaigns, and deadlines concurrently, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Experience coordinating the development and deployment of marketing materials across multiple channels, including digital and traditional media.
Experience using project management tools such as Wrike, marketing calendars, spreadsheets, and reporting platforms to track timelines, deliverables, budgets, and results.
Strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn and work with a variety of marketing platforms and tools. Experience with ClickDimensions, Microsoft Dynamics, Unbounce, or comparable tools is an asset.
Experience coordinating external agencies, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within approved budgets.
Strong project management skills: Ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects with competing deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy.
Exceptional organizational skills: Proficient at maintaining project plans, marketing calendars, trackers, documentation, and administrative processes.
Digital proficiency: Comfortable coordinating digital campaigns and digital initiatives.
Attention to detail: Ensures accuracy across website content, marketing collateral, campaign details, approvals, reporting, and final deliverables.
Clear communication: Communicates project status, requirements, risks, and deadlines effectively to internal stakeholders, external partners, and vendors.
Collaboration and stakeholder management: Builds productive working relationships across departments and works effectively with individuals at different levels of the organization.
Time management and adaptability: Able to manage shifting priorities, respond to changing business needs, and keep projects moving forward.
Problem-solving: Identifies potential issues early, resolves executional challenges, and escalates risks or delays when appropriate.
Analytical capability: Comfortable working with campaign data, preparing reports, monitoring performance indicators, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Proactive mindset: Takes ownership of assigned projects, anticipates next steps, follows through on commitments, and looks for ways to improve marketing processes.
Bilingualism in French and English would be considered a definite asset, though not a requirement
Some infrequent work-related travel (less than 5%) may be required for initial or continuous training, and/or events.
Some flexibility to work modified hours for after-hours activities for events, product launches, or to meet specific deadlines may be expected.
