What it is all about:
We are looking for an Audiology Intern to join our team at our HearCANADA Wharncliffe clinic in London, ON. Our teams typically work 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday-Friday in-centre but the hours of work can be flexible based on a candidate's availability around their studies.
As an Audiology Intern with HearCANADA, you are passionate about the hearing healthcare of our clients. Supported by our Audiologist, you will have the opportunity to learn a diverse skillset in a busy clinic as it relates to the You will provide standardized hearing evaluations, a high standard of client care, and follow-up with clients to ensure their needs are met.
This is a paid contract position with opportunity to develop to a permanent position based on performance, current vacancies, and conditions of completing licensing with the relevant regulatory body.
What you will do:
- Support existing and new clients in their hearing journey by providing an assortment of audiological assessments and hearing evaluations under the direction of the Audiologist.
- Staying abreast of new trends in hearing aid promotions, fittings, and technological advancements to make the most meaningful recommendations to clients.
- Building relationships with clients to ensure appropriate care is provided and post-care solutions are recommended.
- Collaborating with our clinic team members to support both walk-in clients and inbound phone calls
- Supporting with non-clinical tasks including filing, electronic client documentation and other operational needs as directed.
What we are looking for:
- Current enrollment in an Audiology program at the Master's/Doctorate level or within the HIS program at a recognized institution.
- Fundamental knowledge of hearing health care products and services.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
- Solutions and learning-oriented with comfortability asking questions and capitalizing on learning opportunities.
- An excellent communicator who can establish a professional and individualized rapport with clients and team members.
- Willing to work onsite at our London, ON clinic; hours can be flexible based on educational commitments.
